TRAVEL INFORMATION

Swiss International Air Lines is the official carrier for Ironman Zurich Switzerland and is offering special congress fares to all participants.

Congress Fares are valid on the entire SWISS route network for flights to Switzerland, including flights operated by partner airlines under an LX flight number. These fares are now bookable for the travel period 14 days prior to and 14 days after the event.

The special SWISS congress fare is marked with a "C". It may not necessarily be the lowest fare but it offers flexibility in the event of rebooking or cancellation.

 

Please note for transportation of bicycles:

Bicycles must always be registered with SWISS Reservations (in country of departure) at time of booking.

Attention: on services operated with Avro RJ aircraft, also called "Jumbolino", not more than three bicycles may be carried per flight.

The following charges have to be paid independantly of the permitted free luggage flying Intra-Europe or from Switzerland:

Intra-Europe:      CHF 110.00 / EUR 70.00 / USD 100.00
Intercontinental:  CHF 220.00 / EUR 150.00 / USD 200.00     

Transport provides that:
    - the front wheel has to be removed and fixed at the bicycle frame
    - the handle bar must be turned at 90° and the saddle fixed in the lowest position
    - the bike is within the normal bag allowance and suitably packed (hard-shelled bike container or cardboard box). Cardboard boxes are available in some destinations at the    
      check-in.
