10.07.2011 - Schildknecht und Thürig win in Zurich
Local hero Ronnie Schildknecht did it again! He won his fifth Ironman Zurich Switzerland title in a row. Second became Clemente Alonso-Mckernan from Spain and third another well-known Swiss man Mathias Hecht. The women´s race was won by the famous Swiss cyclist Karin Thürig. The second place went to Amy Marsh from the USA and Erika Csomor from Hungary became third.
The document you will find below, contains the same content as the waiver and disclaimer at the registration, which you have accepted already. However, as the waiver is needed in print, we kindly ask you to print and sign the waiver and disclaimer.

24.05.2011 - Ironman Lanzarote: Natascha Badmann took second place
Four years after her horrible crash at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii in 2007 Swiss Natascha Badmann got second at the legendary Ironman Lanzarote with a time of 9:43:39. Rachel Joyce from Great Britain took the win, Karina Ottoson (DEN) got third. German Timo Bracht took the male titel on the Canarian Island.
For a ninth consecutive year, World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), owner of the Ironman brand, will conduct its annual Ironman auction with eBay, designed to benefit a variety of charitable organizations worldwide. Since its inception in 2003, The Ironman Foundation has given more than $7 million in grants and donations to non-profit organizations across the world.

Both, at Rapperswil-Jona (4th/5th of June) and Zurich (9th/10th of July) we offer all kids and teens between 5 and 16 years an aquathlon with different distances and lots of action! Whilst for grown ups every minute count – the focus of the Ironakids and Ironteens lies more in the introduction of girls and boys to the fun of sport.

Tri Dynamic will be organising the Official Training Camp of Ironman Zurich Switzerland, powered by ewz. They have teamed up with legendary Triathlon Coach and author of The Triathlete’s Training Bible, Joe Friel to offer a unique opportunity to prepare for the event and to learn from one of the best coaches in the world. Defending Champion and 4 time winner of IM Switzerland Ronnie Schildknecht will join the camp on SUN 12th June for a ride around the official bike course and for an evening Q&A.

03.08.2010 - 1,500 athletes have registered for the Ironman Zurich Switzerland 2011
The registration has only been open for one week and we already have 1,500 registered participants. Martin Koller, president of the organisation commitée states: 'Triathlon attracts and inspires thousands of people throughout the world. As consequence more ironman events emerge all over the globe. Although athletes now have more options to get a starting slot, we are extremely content that the popularity of our event remains.'

I pledge to my family, fellow triathletes, Pros and Age Groupers, who all love triathlon, that I have trained without taking unauthorized substances, that I will put a fair fight, respect the rules of the race and that I will never draft, cheat, nor put in danger the life of any competitors during the race. This is a commitment I make to myself, to my fellow triathletes, to my family and friends, and to all those who love the sport of Triathlon and the Ironman Competition. Only then, I can proudly pretend, if I cross the finish line within the time limit, to say: "I AM AN IRONMAN"
30.06.2010 - Thomas Cook Ironman 70.3 Mallorca Announced
On May 14, 2011 the inaugural Thomas Cook Ironman 70.3 Mallorca will take place on the island of Mallorca. The Spanish island, known as a training paradise to many cyclists and triathletes, will host a qualifying race for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship for the first time. The host city of Alcudia is located in the north of the island and offers ideal conditions for the race.
It will be the first race of the European IRONMAN 70.3 race season, where athletes can test their form in mild temperatures.
06.06.2010 - Michael Raelert (GER) and Caroline Steffen continue their winning streak at the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland, titleholder Ronnie Schildknecht follows in second.
German Michael Raelert wins at the PowerBar Ironman 70.3 Switzerland and sends –off the Swiss Ronnie Schildknecht and Olivier Marceau. Leading after the swimming, Michael has pushed his way up on the rolling bike course and stretched the winning margin. Two minutes ahead of Ronnie and Olivier he entered the transition zone and went onto the run course. Feeling strong he continuously picked up the pace. Although the Swiss battled hard, they did not manage to out run leader Michael, who has won in 3:47.47. Second became Ronnie Schildknecht (3:54.29) and third former short distance world champion Olivier Marceau (3:55.16).
